Rubab & Daf Instruments of the spiritual world - Luminous Ginans

Luminous Ginans:

is dedicated to devotional poetry of the poet who has very kindly given permission to make his work available to those who desire for spiritual enlightenment.

About the Poet (Luminous Ginans.)

His poetry of Luminous Ginans is not ordinary or be linked with worldly knowledge but is a result of many years of riyazat (spiritual struggle) of body, soul and intellect. He is the perfect example and a role model for those who are searching for a living model who can be linked with Salman-i Farsi, Abu Zar, Pir Nasir Khusraw and other great dia's.

Two centuries ago, this Luminous Ginans was introduced by Pirs of the Indian Sub-Continent  and Central Asia who after establishing this tradition also came to Hunza and other valleys of Northern Pakistan from Badakhshan.

Treasures of the Qur'an -Luminous Ginans

The author says that ginān, qasīdah and manqabat, in reality are the same thing which is pure life of the soul of faith, paradisaical wine of the love of Mawlā, effacement and annihilation, cure of the germs of negligence and insinuations by the fire of love, knowledge for the intellect and 'ibādat for the soul.

The author further says that in the light of the Qur'an and the Hadīth, it is realised that poets are those of two kinds. One kind of poets are those, who due to their being linked to Divine guidance, defend the truth and their poetry amounts the rank of jihād. For such poets it is possible to receive the help (ta'yīd) of the Holy Spirit and their poetry (Luminous Ginans) contains wisdom to a greater or less degree. The poets of the other kinds have deviated from the sirāt-i mustaqīm.

Hazrat Ibn 'Abbas reports that the holy Prophet said: "Indeed, in some of the poetry there is wisdom." That is, there can be wisdom in the poetry of those poets who adhere to true guidance, otherwise the holy Qur’an condemns those poets who do not follow the true guidance and have gone astray.

Luminous Ginans in the Qur'anGod says in Surah 26: Ayat 224-27:

"And as to the poets, those who go astray follow them. Do you not see that they wander about bewildered in every valley? And that they say that which they do not do.
